If you have a birdhouse or birdfeeder exposed to the outdoor elements with feeding and nesting birds, it's going to get dirty and need to be cleaned. This can be a very simple and easy process.
*Wear rubber gloves for the cleaning process.
*Fill a bucket with warm water and a small amount of scent-
*Empty the bucket and refill with warm water and a couple of cups of white distilled vinegar or diluted bleach and wash it again. Use an old toothbrush to clean the hard to reach areas.
*Rinse gently with a garden hose.
*Let dry, before reuse.
An occasional cleaning can go a long way toward keeping your birdhouse or birdfeeder free of disease and fungus and create a healthy and attractive addition to your home.
